ER RN - Emergency Registered Nurse
About The Position
Join the MercyOne family as a Registered Nurse at our Davenport and Bettendorf Emergency departments! This is a full-time position with a 12-hour night shift, specifically a Weekend Package Night Shift from 1900-0730, totaling 36 hours per week across 3 shifts. The schedule offers a choice of working every 2nd or 3rd weekend, with holiday rotation included. The role involves performing rapid and comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing emergency care plans, delivering timely and effective interventions, preparing patients for diagnostic testing, procedures, or transfer, evaluating patient responses and adjusting care, facilitating communication and coordination, demonstrating clinical competence in emergency nursing, managing multiple patients and prioritizing care, providing age-appropriate and culturally sensitive care, ensuring safety and compliance, and maintaining professional standards and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Associate degree in nursing required.
- Current Iowa RN license, IL RN license within one year required.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required only if the unit has telemetry monitoring capabilities.
- Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter – Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training within three (3) months of hire
- High language, intermediate to high math, high critical thinking ability
- Basic computer skills required
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
