About The Position

This role is for an ER Clinical Supervisor at Emergency Veterinary Care Centers (EVCC). The position focuses on leading and supporting the technical team, fostering a positive and collaborative environment, and acting as a liaison between the team and clinic leadership. The ideal candidate is a go-to person who enjoys helping others problem-solve and believes leadership is about supporting people. The role involves guiding clinical decision-making, supporting teammates through challenges, ensuring clear communication, and assisting with the onboarding and training of new team members, externs, apprentices, and trainees. Leadership is demonstrated by example through confidence, professionalism, collaboration, and maintaining calm during intense situations.

Requirements

  • Currently working as a Level IV Veterinary Technician or Assistant.
  • Have been employed full-time with EVCC, averaging 36+ hours per week, for at least 1 year.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to delegate while still being willing to jump in and help.
  • Communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully with teammates, clients, and leadership.
  • Comfortable navigating challenging conversations and helping resolve conflict.
  • Able to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Enjoy helping others learn, grow, and succeed.
  • Possess a team-first mindset and understand that leadership is about supporting people.

  • Be a go-to resource for technical teammates when clinical questions or challenges arise.

  • Communicate important team, clinical, or operational concerns with the Clinic Location Manager.
  • Help foster a positive, respectful, and supportive team environment.
  • Support conflict resolution with both team members and clients.

  • Assist with training and supporting tech student externs and summer apprentices.
  • Help new trainees and their trainers navigate the learning and onboarding process.
