About The Position

Arista Advanced Pet Care is seeking a relationship-driven Emergency Clinician Recruiter to find experienced and early-career ER doctors for their clinician-owned, shared-ownership, multi-specialty ER model. This role focuses on building relationships and leveraging networks to find candidates who desire to work in supportive, sustainable hospital environments. The recruiter will be responsible for pipeline development, candidate engagement, and representing Arista at various professional events. This position is foundational to Arista's mission of improving veterinary medicine through thoughtful hiring and fostering healthy hospital cultures.

Requirements

  • For DVMs: Experience in ER and/or specialty medicine, comfort speaking to students/interns/residents/senior clinicians, love for mentorship, connection, and big-picture thinking about the profession.
  • For non-DVMs: 5+ years recruiting in the veterinary ER/specialty world, understanding of clinician hiring nuances and the importance of trust, experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder searches, credibility and genuine relationships in the veterinary space.
  • Excellent communication skills: warm, direct, and authentic.
  • Highly organized and comfortable juggling multiple searches and relationships.
  • Resourceful, persistent, and not afraid to open new doors.
  • Belief that veterinary medicine deserves better systems and better careers.
  • Excitement about reconnecting clinicians with healthy, innovative hospitals.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own a pipeline of experienced emergency clinicians for current and future Arista hospitals.
  • Leverage existing veterinary networks and build new ones to find ER doctors who may not be actively job-hunting.
  • Have real, honest conversations about what clinicians actually want.
  • Partner closely with hospital leadership and clinician owners to understand culture, team dynamics, and clinical needs.
  • Guide candidates through a high-touch hiring process that treats them like a friend, not a commodity.
  • Represent Arista at conferences, on campuses, and in hospitals as a true brand ambassador.
  • Build relationships with vet schools, internships, and residencies.
  • Participate in panels, lunch-and-learns, externship programs, and networking events.
  • Help students and trainees understand what working in a locally owned hospital looks and feels like.
