About The Position

Jefferies is seeking an experienced associate to help assist in covering the midstream sector. This role involves responsible associate-level coverage of an array of midstream stocks, building and maintaining detailed company models, staying on top of company news, tracking filings, and listening to conference calls. The position also requires writing first look notes, contributing to longer thematic reports and company initiations, fielding questions, and communicating with sales and/or clients, as well as maintaining relationships with company IR teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience covering midstream on the sell-side, buy-side, banking or consulting.
• Experienced in FactSet and/or Bloomberg; knowledge of industry-specific databases also helpful.
• Advanced Excel modeling and writing skills
• Strong knowledge of accounting, corporate finance and energy-specific terminology/concepts

Nice To Haves

• CFA or progression towards CFA preferred
• FINRA Series 7, 63, 86 and 87 preferred (required within 5 months of hire)
