Equipment Technician - Manufacturing

About The Position

CS Power Systems, a division of Canadian Solar, manufactures solar panels, inverters, and energy storage solutions. The Equipment Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs warehouse, manufacturing, and plant equipment. The position performs scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshoots and repairs plant equipment, and maintains electrical and mechanical systems while following maintenance, safety, environmental, and company procedures. This is a full-time position with the ability to work 12-hour day or night shifts.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
0–2 years of experience, or Community College/new graduate.
Manufacturing experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
Experience repairing manufacturing and plant equipment.
Hands-on experience with PLC/HMI, machine control, and industrial robotics.
Ability to interpret machine schematics and electrical and mechanical drawings.
Good knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
Ability to work 12-hour shifts, day or night.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment as directed.
Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing plant equipment.
Repair and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment in the plant.
Follow maintenance procedures to ensure proper preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
Ensure compliance with internal and external plant policies and procedures.
Help ensure Maintenance group personnel meet company and Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations standards.
Follow environmental, health, and safety rules and policies.
Conduct other duties as required.
