About The Position

Micron Technology is seeking an Equipment Technician to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and rebuild electro-mechanical equipment used in manufacturing. The technician uses test and diagnostic equipment, follows layouts, blueprints, manuals, sketches, and drawings, and may modify equipment as directed by engineers. The role also uses approved AI-enabled tools, where applicable, to support troubleshooting, maintenance, technical research, documentation, and problem-solving. The technician is expected to develop proficiency with relevant AI capabilities and validate AI-generated information against technical knowledge, established procedures, equipment documentation, and appropriate engineering guidance before using it in equipment-related work. This is a full-time position. The stated US base salary range is $24.50–$40.00 per hour. Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses, and equity. Responsibilities

Perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in manufacturing.
Dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches, or drawings.
Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
Rebuild manufacturing equipment as required.
Perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.
Use approved AI-enabled tools, where applicable, to support troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, technical research, documentation, and problem-solving.
Develop proficiency with AI capabilities relevant to the role and incorporate approved AI-enabled ways of working to improve efficiency and technical effectiveness.
Review and validate AI-generated information using technical knowledge, established procedures, equipment documentation, and appropriate engineering guidance before applying it to equipment-related work.
