We're looking for an equipment technician to perform journey level inspections, troubleshoot and diagnoses, service, and make minor mechanical repairs on all types of equipment used on the facility grounds, vehicles, buses, tractor-trailers and large & small street sweeper equipment. You will work directly for an Equipment Technician Supervisor to analyze needs and draft purchase requisitions for procurement of new and replacement of commercial, industrial, and agency specialized parts and equipment. Pierce County employees are eligible to receive an Orca Card for transportation needs. Opportunities performed on-site at this work location at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary. Those hired to for this opportunity may be entitled to an additional 20% assignment pay due to Heavy Equipment Maintenance work greater than 26,000 lbs.
