About The Position

The Maintenance Technician will support the Technical Services department by helping to drive continuous improvement in the electrical assembly operations. This is achieved by maintaining the fabrication and production equipment in its best working condition, completing PMs and minimizing downtime. The position will support operations, and capital assets maintenance (equipment, machinery, building, etc.) and other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience with metal fabrication processes and equipment.
  • A minimum three (3) years of experience working at a manufacturing site.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and electronics
  • Able to utilize hydraulic schematics, pneumatic schematics, and electrical schematics in troubleshooting scenarios.
  • Knowledge and experience in commercial/industrial building trades.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Windows-based software.
  • Problem-solving skills/Strong verbal communication skills/Strong teamwork.
  • Proficiency with verbal and written communications.
  • Ability to use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a highly unstructured and ambiguous environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the industrial maintenance field
  • Knowledge of PLC electronic controls
  • Strong electrical background and experience.
  • Strong metal fabrication experience including CNC’s, lathes, punch and bend equipment.
  • Two (2) year technical degree or certification in either electronics, electrical power and controls, fluid power, or basic PLC programming
  • Basic skills in reading and writing in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment
  • Read and interpret technical diagrams
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and repair equipment using a systematic process to identify root cause (electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic).
  • Complete work on Continuous Improvement activities related to the equipment and facility as needed (5S+, TPM, Set Up Reduction, etc.)
  • Assist with outside contractors on various plant projects and repairs.
