About The Position

Harrington Bottling Company, a family-owned beverage distributor proudly serving Montana communities for more than 80 years, is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Equipment Service Technician to join our team in Bozeman. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in equipment maintenance, mechanical repair, appliance service, refrigeration systems, electrical troubleshooting, or field service operations who are looking for a stable, long-term career. As an Equipment Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of beverage dispensing equipment at customer locations throughout the region. Equipment may include beverage coolers, vending machines, fountain drink systems, and other commercial beverage equipment. Your work will play a critical role in ensuring customers receive reliable service and that equipment remains safe, functional, and operating at peak performance. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, solving mechanical challenges, and providing outstanding customer service.

Requirements

At least 18 years old.
Possess a valid driver's license.
Basic computer skills for work orders and service documentation.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Effective problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience in equipment maintenance, mechanical repair, appliance service, refrigeration systems, electrical troubleshooting, or field service operations.
Experience working as a maintenance technician, field service technician, equipment repair technician, refrigeration technician, or appliance repair technician.
Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check as well as a drug and alcohol test and functional ability test if applicable.

Responsibilities

Installing, servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of beverage dispensing equipment at customer locations.
Troubleshooting equipment issues.
Performing preventative maintenance.
Completing installations.
Documenting service activities.
Maintaining accurate records.
Ensuring all work is completed according to company and safety standards.
Operating a company vehicle.
Performing routine vehicle inspections.
Assisting with equipment setup and support for customer events and promotions.
