About The Position

Eastern Lift Truck Co. is seeking an Equipment Sales Representative to support the Northern New Jersey region. This role offers significant opportunities for growth, competitive compensation, and benefits within a company that values its employees and maintains a family atmosphere. The position is a true Outside Sales role, requiring four days per week in the territory and one day in the office. Responsibilities include selling new and used equipment, rental agreements, servicing existing accounts, obtaining orders, establishing new accounts, and providing superior customer service. Success in the territory depends on establishing new relationships while maintaining and strengthening existing business.

Requirements

• Prior experience in an Outside Sales role
• High energy individual with a “hunter mentality”
• Results oriented, self-starter able to work independently
• Strong competitive drive
• Ability to build long lasting relationships
• Must possess unwavering customer service drive and focus
• Excellent communication, presentation, and follow-up skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel

Responsibilities

• Foster the sale of new and used equipment, as well as the sale of rental agreements
• Contribute to the team effort by meeting and exceeding sales goals
• Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential customers
• Provide superior customer service
• Prepare daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly & annual territory analysis
