About The Position

The Equipment & Retail Specialist is skilled in technical shop duties, retail product knowledge, and sales, and lends a hand with cleaning duties around the lodge. This role plays a key role in guest satisfaction in the day-to-day operation of the lodge. This is a seasonal job opportunity. This position is based on an 11-hour day, worked as a split shift. A typical schedule consists of 2 weeks on and 1 week off. Accommodation is available while on shift, at no extra cost, for staff joining our team.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of technical shop experience with ski/board industry.
Minimum of 1 year of retail store experience.
Experience with ordering and inventory management.
Integrity, discretion, and critical thinking.
Adaptability and effective problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and strategic planning abilities.
Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and in a timely manner, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn other relevant software platforms.
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating seasonal workloads and changing priorities.
Trustworthy, goal-oriented, respectful, and self-directed individual.
Ability to interact with all levels of the company, including those in remote locations within a hub-and-spoke model.

Responsibilities

Maintain fleet of skis, snowboards, poles, and bindings.
Adjust bindings and settings to support the needs of each guest.
Maintain accurate inventory levels for equipment and retail stock.
Oversee all merchandising and displays in retail shop, as well as being educated on product knowledge.
Process all cash, debit, and credit transactions.
Maintain a clean and professional work area.
Support the ski program by assisting with radio duty.
Adhere to OH&S and WHMIS standards.
All employees will support the implementation of CMH health and safety and sustainability initiatives and participate in training and provide assistance as required during emergency response situations.
