About The Position

UPMC Presbyterian is looking to hire a Full-Time Equipment Reprocessor to support the Gastrointestinal Lab. This role involves caring for, handling, and reprocessing all fiber optic endoscopy equipment and accessories used in the GI Laboratory. The schedule includes (4) 10-hour shifts, with working hours from 7 am to 5:30 pm, and includes 1-2 late days per week. This position requires adherence to universal infection control guidelines and maintaining unit standards of quality control and safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Act 34

Nice To Haves

• Previous employment or training as an Endoscopy Technician or other medical specialty such as Central Service Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate accurate cleaning and disinfection procedures for all endoscopes and accessories.
• Adhere to universal infection control guidelines when cleaning and disinfecting scopes and accessories.
• Contribute to an efficient work and team environment.
• Assume responsibility for own development.
