Requirements

  • Previous experience working in equipment rental sales is required.
  • Experience developing new business and managing customer accounts.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales and revenue goals.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple customer accounts and priorities.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout assigned territories.

Responsibilities

  • Call on prospective and existing customers in person and by phone to promote equipment rental services and solutions.
  • Develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and market research.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities for additional business.
  • Prepare and present equipment rental proposals, quotes, and service agreements.
  • Negotiate rental contracts and pricing agreements while ensuring customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • Follow up on sales leads and customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor customer activity and identify opportunities to increase revenue within existing accounts.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales goals, revenue targets, and business development objectives.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales activity reports, and pipeline information.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, and other business systems to prepare reports, track opportunities, and manage customer information.
  • Collaborate with operations, dispatch, and management teams to ensure customer needs are met effectively.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions.
