About The Position

The Equipment Operator retrieves, moves, and stacks merchandise and uses material handling equipment, which may include forklifts. The role picks and packs orders, documents and maintains inventory, and keeps production areas and equipment organized and clean. It also uses a computer for daily work activities. The operator uses a computer-based WMS to enter data, check product status, and enter shipment information. The position supports inbound and outbound shipping, order fulfillment, pallet building, light assembly, and product labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking. It maintains a safe and clean work environment by following FIDELITONE’s Standardized 5S Program and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Certified stand-up or sit-down forklift driver, or willing to learn as needed.
Knowledge of commonly used warehouse concepts, practices, and procedures.
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak English.
Basic knowledge of computer systems.
Ability to perform functions with minimal direction, emphasizing safety.
Ability to work accurately and thoroughly with attention to detail.
Ability to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
Ability to adapt to workplace changes and shift priorities easily.
High school diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years of related experience are preferred.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Warehouse Management Systems experience.

Responsibilities

Use a computer-based WMS to enter data, check product status, and enter shipment information.
Safely unload inbound shipments and move product to storage locations.
Pick and pack orders, build pallets, and perform light assembly.
Stack and store merchandise in appropriate areas.
Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking assistance as needed.
Create bills of lading and manifests for different carriers.
Prepare and stage skids for outbound shipments using different carriers.
Move product from staging or storage areas into outbound trucks and trailers.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following the FIDELITONE Standardized 5S Program.
Remove trash as directed when product is unwrapped, assembled, or otherwise handled.
Keep equipment and materials neat, clean, and orderly.
Perform other duties as assigned.
