About The Position
Finley Buttes Landfill, a Waste Connections company, is looking to hire a full-time, year-round Heavy Equipment Operator/ Laborer at our facility in Boardman, OR. The Starting rate of pay is $26.65/HR. The Schedule will be Monday- Friday from 7:30am- 5:00pm.
Requirements
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as Front End Loader, Fork Lift, and other Heavy Equipment.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels.
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine inspection and maintenance on Equipment such as checking oil, water, and tires.
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
- Helps with Flagging on Site to ensure traffic is flowing.
- Helps Drivers Tarp Trucks.
- Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
