About The Position

WB Melback Corporation is seeking an Equipment Operator to join their team. This role involves operating a telehandler for lifting, moving, and placing materials, as well as loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment across various Canadian job sites. The operator will also perform daily equipment inspections, assist trades and site crews, and ensure load security. This position requires a strong commitment to safety and the ability to work effectively in a team environment on remote and industrial sites.

Requirements

• Valid telehandler certification (mandatory)
• Valid Skid Steer certification (mandatory)
• Proven experience operating a telehandler in industrial or construction environments
• Strong understanding of safe lifting practices and load handling procedures
• Ability to work in remote and industrial job site environments
• Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

• Experience in mining, forestry, or heavy industrial construction environments
• Additional heavy equipment certifications
• Bilingualism (English/French)

Responsibilities

• Operating equipment in accordance with all safety regulations and site-specific requirements
• Safely operating a telehandler for lifting, moving, and placing materials
• Loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment across site
• Assisting trades and site crews with material placement and logistical support
• Performing daily equipment inspections and reporting any issues or defects
• Coordinating with supervisors and site personnel for efficient material movement
• Ensuring all loads are properly secured and handled safely
• Supporting other site-related tasks as required
