Equipment Operator, Landfill
About The Position
The Equipment Operator sets up and operates a wide variety of equipment and performs work according to specifications. The role involves operating equipment safely and in compliance with company procedures, confirming equipment is in working order, moving and positioning materials and components, and carrying out routine maintenance and cleaning. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring strict compliance with safety rules and protocols. The successful candidate may be subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with government regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of previous experience.
- Strictly comply with safety rules and protocols.
- May be subject to pre-employment, post-incident, reasonable suspicion, and random drug and alcohol testing.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a wide variety of equipment and perform work according to specifications.
- Operate equipment in compliance with company operating procedures.
- Verify equipment is in working order, including tooling and safety mechanisms.
- Move and position raw materials and finished components using material-moving equipment.
- Perform daily maintenance and cleaning activities.
