About The Position

Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently for various construction projects within Primoris Services Corporation. This role involves performing tasks such as excavation, grading, lifting, and material handling to support project completion.

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating multiple types of heavy construction equipment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL may be required for certain roles.
  • Ability to read and understand safety instructions, operating manuals, and project plans.
  • Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and best practices.
  • Physical ability to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Mechanical aptitude for performing basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, as project demands.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of heavy equipment, including but not limited to excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and compactors, in a safe and productive manner.
  • Perform pre-operation and post-operation inspections of equipment, completing daily maintenance checklists and reporting any defects or malfunctions to supervisors.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and governmental regulations (OSHA, MSHA, etc.) at all times.
  • Execute earthmoving, grading, trenching, digging, and other construction-related tasks as directed by the foreman or superintendent.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and other construction documents to ensure accurate execution of work.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of materials, ensuring proper handling and placement.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area around the equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with other crew members, supervisors, and site personnel.
  • Perform manual labor as needed to support construction activities.
  • Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
