About The Position

This role involves performing decoking techniques, working with coke drums, operating a bridge crane for storage and loading, maintaining communication with various personnel, assisting with equipment maintenance, inspecting equipment, and maintaining a clean workspace. The position requires a commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED
Mechanically Inclined
Can work independently with minimal supervision
Committed to working safely at all times including a commitment to the policies and procedures of the operation
Must pass a pre-employment physical, reference checks, drug screen, motor-vehicle report and criminal background check
Willing to reliably fulfill the following work schedule: 12 hour rotating shifts (days and nights)
Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions: extreme wind, snow, rain, heat and cold.

Nice To Haves

Bridge Crane experience is a plus
Experience in the oil field or other industrial environment preferred

Responsibilities

Perform proper decoking techniques by following all associated procedures while paying close attention to hot spots and allowing for extra quenching where needed.
Work with the Operator to un-head and re-head the coke drums, as well as performing the final sweep of the coke drum.
Operate bridge crane to maintain proper pit & pad storage and load coke from pad to grizzly hopper by following all associated procedures.
Maintain good and open communication with Crane Operator, Supervision, Managers and Maintenance Personnel via radio and other proper means.
Help maintenance personnel with equipment maintenance when additional manpower is needed.
Properly inspect equipment prior to and post operating and report any additional maintenance needs and conduct frequent audits on the crane and other heavy equipment.
Maintain clean workspace by removing trash and debris from all areas of responsibility including structures, offices, restrooms, break rooms, vehicles, crane cab, etc.
