About The Position

The Equipment Operator safely and efficiently operates forklifts and other powered material handling equipment to move, stack, and pick or pull merchandise. The role supports warehouse operations as needed, including shipping, receiving, inventorying, product repackaging, palletizing, and equipment operation. The position is based in a warehouse environment and works the night shift Monday through Friday, 5:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of verifiable material handling equipment operating experience within the prior 36 months, using equipment required for the role, such as a sit-down or stand-up forklift, reach truck, or cherry/order picker.
• Ability to perform the essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
• Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to carry and climb a ladder.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including at least 2 hours straight, four times during an 8-hour day.
• Ability to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, and crouch frequently, and to use hands and feet simultaneously for repetitive movements.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently according to prescribed work methods and OSHA standards, including completing daily inspections and maintenance.
• Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials using powered material handling equipment and applicable lifting devices.
• Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to storage locations.
• Stack and store merchandise in appropriate areas.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring accuracy for loading and shipment.
• Move products from staging or storage areas into trailers or containers.
• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
• Perform pick-and-pack, light assembly, labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed.
• Maintain appropriate records and reports to support inventory control and security measures.
• Assist with physical inventories as needed.
