About The Position

Central Transfer & Recycle Center (CRC), a Waste Connections company, is currently hiring for a full-time Lead Operator to work in our transfer station in Vancouver, WA. The schedule will be 10:00am to around 6:30pm on weekdays and 6:00am to around 4:30pm on Saturday and Sunday, with Wednesdays and Thursdays off. The starting wage will be $29/hr and additiona; $1/hr after positive 90 day review. Requirements

Ability to safety operate equipment on site (forklift, skidsteer, baler)
Ability to provide good customer service to the public.
Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Basic knowledge of computer skills.

Responsibilities

Operating a forklift and baler.
Buying and sorting out materials from customers.
Greeting, directing, discussing issues with, and educating customers of onsite rules and restrictions in a polite and courteous manner
Directing and tracking incoming traffic and monitoring waste material flow
Sorting customer loads - heavy lifting of metals
Following all appropriate safety guidelines and precautions, wearing required safety gear, and maintaining a neat and professional appearance at all times
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
