About The Position

SPATCO is looking for an energetic Heavy Equipment Operator/Installer for EV Installation to join our team. This person will operate heavy equipment, assist in the installation of EV installation, piping, electrical, excavating, busting and removal of concrete, installing dispensers, and other petroleum related work.

Requirements

• Hand and Foot Coordination: Ability to coordinate movements of hands and feet to guide very large machinery in tight places.
• Operation Monitoring: Ability to read gauges, dials, and other indicators, and adjust them.
• Coordination: Ability to coordinate actions with those of other workers on busy construction sites.
• Troubleshooting: Ability to detect and fix operating problems.
• Critical Thinking: Ability to identify strengths and weaknesses of solutions to problems to choose the most successful one.
• Ability to lift 75 –100 lbs when necessary.
• Ability and willingness to work in all types of adverse conditions such as extreme weather, enclosed spaces and heights up to 80 feet.
• Experience reading plans and understanding tasks at hand.
• Ability to work without close supervision once directed on task.
• Work safely under time constraints efficiently.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Follow all company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures.
• Assist in the installation of EV installation, piping, electrical, excavating, busting and removal of concrete, installing dispensers, and other petroleum related work.
• Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers.
• Ensure company equipment and materials are maintained, kept cleaned, and stored in a safe manner.
• Observe distribution of paving material to adjust machine settings or material flow, and indicate low spots for workers to add materials.
• Proactively communicate with foreman, superintendent and coworkers.
• Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation as required.
