About The Position

Taylor Corporation is looking for an Equipment Operator. This role involves preparing and operating printing press equipment in compliance with job specifications and company quality standards. The position requires performing regular maintenance on equipment, preparing inks, checking paper and plates, and visually inspecting forms throughout the run. The Equipment Operator will coordinate with the Production Team to manage job priorities and deadlines, and maintain knowledge of safety requirements. This is a part-time position with a shift from Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Requirements

  • Ability to set adjustable mechanisms to required tolerances.
  • High degree of mathematical skill and attention to detail.
  • High degree of mechanical ability.
  • Good reading ability.
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand.
  • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position.
  • Constantly operates machinery and handles products, including print materials.
  • Frequently required to move inside the facility.
  • Regularly move 25+ pounds, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and operate printing press equipment in compliance with job specifications and in accordance with company quality standards and procedures.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on equipment to ensure optimum output.
  • Prepare inks for proper color and consistency.
  • Check paper for type, size, color, and quantity.
  • Check plates for correct format.
  • Visually inspect forms throughout the run for quality.
  • Coordinate with the Production Team to produce and prioritize jobs and, when necessary, reorganize to meet deadline changes and updates.
  • Maintain knowledge of safety requirements of the job and equipment.
