About The Position

The Equipment Operator position is responsible for the safe and effective operation and maintenance of forage and farm equipment during applicable seasons. This role involves conducting all duties as assigned by the supervisor, potentially including general labor tasks. The position requires proactive preventative maintenance on equipment, timely communication of challenges or concerns to management, and the ability to diagnose and report equipment problems. Employees are expected to follow all job-related instructions and perform duties as required by their supervisor.

Requirements

• Experience operating heavy equipment safely
• Ability to understand and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment effectively and safely, using up-to-date technology.
• Proactively performs preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Communicates challenges or concerns to Custom Crew Manager in a timely manner.
• Diagnoses and communicates any problems or concerns with equipment to management.
• Performs manual labor in various areas as necessary or as assigned.
• Performs occasional assignments in other departments, as assigned or as necessary.
