About The Position

The Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating various types of machinery, including a front-end loader, tractor, and forklift, in compliance with OSHA regulations. This role requires basic knowledge of machinery maintenance and service, the ability to operate a small dump truck, and the capacity to work independently. The operator must adhere to manufacturer guidelines for all equipment, exercise sound judgment when operating machinery around horses, and maintain constant surveillance of the grounds for safety concerns. Reporting maintenance issues immediately to a supervisor and understanding all safety rules for each piece of equipment are critical. The position also involves attending required safety and OSHA training sessions, assisting with snow removal duties, and promoting honesty, trust, and outstanding customer relations within the team. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Must be able to lift Fifty (50) lbs. without difficulty.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in extremes of weather.
  • Must be able to remain highly flexible in an environment of constant change.
  • Promotes honesty and trust amongst the team.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to the needs of the business including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous OSHA Certified Forklift Training a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate front-end loader, tractor, and forklift in accordance with all applicable OSHA Regulations.
  • Perform basic machinery maintenance and service.
  • Operate a small dump truck.
  • Work without direct supervision.
  • Operate all equipment according to manufacturers’ printed material.
  • Use sound judgment when using equipment around horses.
  • Maintain constant surveillance of the grounds for safety concerns.
  • Report all maintenance repairs immediately to supervisor.
  • Read and understand all safety rules for each piece of equipment.
  • Attend all safety and/or OSHA training sessions as required.
  • Assist with all duties associated with snow removal.
  • Promote honesty and trust amongst the team.
  • Promote outstanding customer relations.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
