About The Position

The Equipment Operator safely and efficiently locates product using a radio frequency (RF) unit, manually pulls product from locations, and transports product to various departments and locations using powered equipment. The role processes a portion of customer orders throughout the production day and restocks product into bins.

This position is based at 450 Ingenuity Ave, Sparks, NV 89441, with a scheduled shift of 4:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Pay is $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of lift operator experience.
• Ability to read and write, and sufficient ability to identify colors, sizes, quantities, labels, and SKU information.
• Basic math skills, including counting and determining quantities.
• Ability to follow directions and change priorities or duties as business needs require, including rotating to other production functions as needed.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions.
• Essential days or overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered lift equipment to move assigned products and materials, using an RF unit to scan product movement and identify locations.
• Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product.
• Restock, pick, and pack product for customer orders.
• Inspect assigned equipment at the start of each shift and check out and return equipment in the same condition daily.
• Follow procedures for proper care and use of equipment, including keys.
• Adhere to safety requirements and guidelines.
• Complete and maintain SanMar’s Lift Operator Certification in compliance with OSHA guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and standards.
