About The Position

The Equipment Operator operates, sets up, and performs maintenance on an assigned saw and related equipment. The operator feeds the machine and adjusts it to meet requested dimensions, with cross-training for both operator and catcher duties. The role supports daily production goals while promoting teamwork and coordinating with production management and general laborers. Work is primarily outdoors and may be subject to weather, noise, and dust.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 80 pounds.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematics.
• Advanced knowledge of the operation of machinery and equipment used for the primary job duty.
• Maintain certification to operate equipment if required.
• Demonstrate teamwork, accuracy, thoroughness, productivity, punctuality, and dependability.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and perform maintenance on the assigned saw and related equipment.
• Feed the machine and make adjustments to meet requested dimensions; cross-train for operator and catcher duties.
• Inspect finished products for quality.
• Maintain clean, accurate, and legible production reports.
• Understand and follow safety policies and procedures.
• Interpret assigned job orders.
• Train workers in equipment operation.
• Report work progress to Production Management.
• Coordinate with general laborers and production management on production goals, efficiency, cleanliness, safety, and coworker training.
• Perform other duties as required by management.
