About The Position

Titan Florida, LLC is hiring an Equipment Operator – Bulldozer for its Pennsuco Aggregates Division in Medley, Florida. This is a wage, non-exempt position assigned to the Aggregates Quarry Department and reporting to the Quarry Supervisor and Lead Person. The operator uses a bulldozer to move material within the quarry, support plant feeding, and perform related tasks as directed. The role requires adherence to safety procedures and MSHA regulations, equipment inspections and upkeep, and readiness to assist with other equipment and duties. The operator must be able to work shifts, weekends, and overtime as directed.

Requirements

Safety-conscious work ethic focused on protecting oneself and others in the work area.
High school diploma or GED, or at least three years of related experience and/or training.
Ability to speak, hear, walk, kneel, crouch, climb, crawl, and lift at least 50 pounds; ability to work in confined spaces.
Ability to perform assigned tasks properly and in a timely manner.
Availability to work day, afternoon, night, and swing shifts, weekends, and overtime as directed by management.
Excellent communication skills; ability to speak, read, and write English is preferred.
Ability to work well with others and maintain a positive attitude in individual and team environments.
Current Florida driver’s license and a clean Motor Vehicle Record.

Nice To Haves

Basic knowledge and understanding of limestone quarry operations.
Prior heavy-equipment experience in a construction or mining environment.
Knowledge of heavy-haulage equipment and ability to comprehend and apply training, particularly related to off-highway haulage.
Technical or vocational school training.
Welding and cutting experience.

Responsibilities

Perform required safety checks and follow safety rules and regulations.
Operate a bulldozer proficiently, including knowledge of track equipment and undercarriage maintenance.
Move material within the quarry, including benching, road building, leveling, and pushing material in the surge stockpile area for plant feed as directed.
Communicate with the Plant Tower Operator or Cement Control Room Operator while feeding the plant at the surge pile and consistently meter material to the appropriate feeders.
Complete pre-shift heavy-equipment inspections, inspect work areas, and participate in a STA at the start of each shift.
Follow company policies and MSHA regulations as trained and communicated by management, supervisors, or leads.
Conduct work in a manner that represents Titan’s values and shows respect to fellow employees.
Keep equipment clean and safe and report safety or operational concerns.
Perform other assigned tasks, which may include shoveling, washing, housekeeping, or maintenance activities.
Be willing and able to train on other equipment and perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor or lead person.
