About The Position

Titan America, LLC is hiring an Equipment Operator – Bulldozer for its Pennsuco Aggregates Division in Medley, Florida. This is a wage, non-exempt position in the Aggregates Quarry Department. The role reports to the Quarry Supervisor and Lead Person and involves operating a bulldozer to move material within the quarry, including benching, road building, leveling, and pushing material in the surge stockpile area for plant feed. The operator communicates with plant or cement control room operators while feeding the plant and consistently meters material to the appropriate feeders. The position also includes performing pre-shift equipment inspections, checking work areas, following safety procedures and MSHA regulations, and maintaining equipment in a clean and safe condition. Other duties may include shoveling, washing, housekeeping, maintenance activities, training to operate other equipment, and other tasks assigned by a supervisor or lead person. The schedule may include day, afternoon, night, and swing shifts, weekends, and overtime as directed by management.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or three or more years of related experience and/or training.
Safety-conscious work ethic to protect oneself and others in the work area.
Ability to comprehend and apply provided training, especially training related to off-highway haulage.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work well with others and contribute individually and as part of a team.
Ability to perform assigned tasks properly and in a timely manner.
Current Florida Driver’s License and a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
Ability to speak, hear, walk, kneel, crouch, climb, and crawl, and lift at least 50 pounds.
Ability to work in confined spaces.
Availability to work day, afternoon, night, and swing shifts, weekends, and overtime as directed.

Nice To Haves

Basic knowledge and understanding of limestone quarry operations.
Prior heavy equipment experience in a construction or mining environment.
Knowledge of heavy haulage equipment.
Ability to speak, read, and write English.
Technical or vocational school training.
Welding and cutting experience.

Responsibilities

Perform required safety checks and follow all safety rules and regulations.
Operate a bulldozer proficiently, including applying knowledge of track equipment and undercarriage maintenance.
Move material within the quarry through benching, road building, leveling, and pushing material in the surge stockpile area for plant feed, as directed.
Communicate with the Plant Tower Operator or Cement Control Room Operator while feeding the plant at the surge pile.
Consistently meter material to the appropriate feeders.
Perform and complete pre-shift inspections on heavy equipment.
Inspect work areas and participate in a STA at the start of each shift.
Follow company policies and MSHA regulations as trained and communicated by management, supervisors, and leads.
Conduct work in a manner that represents Titan’s values and shows respect to fellow employees.
Maintain equipment in a clean and safe manner and report safety or operational concerns.
Perform tasks as directed by the supervisor or lead person, including shoveling, washing, housekeeping, or maintenance activities when assigned.
Be willing and able to train to operate other equipment and perform other assigned duties.
