About The Position

Titan America, LLC has an immediate opening for an Equipment Operator – Bulldozer in its Pennsuco Aggregates Division in Medley, Florida. This wage, non-exempt position is assigned to the Aggregates Quarry Department and reports to the Quarry Supervisor and Lead Person. The operator moves material within the quarry using a bulldozer, including benching, road building, leveling, and pushing material in the surge stockpile area for plant feed. The role requires communicating with plant or cement control room operators while feeding the plant and consistently metering material to the appropriate feeders. The operator performs pre-shift inspections, workplace safety checks, and assigned equipment upkeep, while following company policies and MSHA regulations. The position may also involve shoveling, washing, housekeeping, maintenance activities, training to operate other equipment, and other duties assigned by a supervisor or lead person. Work schedules may include day, afternoon, night, or swing shifts, weekends, and overtime as directed by management.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or three or more years of related experience and/or training.
Maintain a current Florida Driver’s License and a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
Safety-conscious work ethic to protect oneself and others in the work area.
Ability to comprehend and apply provided training, especially training related to off-highway haulage.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work well with others and contribute individually and in a team environment.
Ability to perform assigned tasks properly and in a timely manner.
Able to speak, hear, walk, kneel, crouch, climb, and crawl, and lift at least 50 pounds.
Capable of working in confined spaces.
Available to work day, afternoon, night, and swing shifts, weekends, and overtime as directed.

Nice To Haves

Basic knowledge and understanding of limestone quarry operations.
Prior heavy equipment experience in a construction or mining environment.
Knowledge of heavy haulage equipment.
Ability to speak, read, and write English.
Technical or vocational school training.
Welding and cutting experience.

Responsibilities

Perform required safety checks and follow all safety rules and regulations.
Operate a bulldozer proficiently, with knowledge of track equipment and undercarriage maintenance.
Move material within the quarry, including benching, road building, leveling, and pushing material in the surge stockpile area for plant feed, as directed.
Communicate with the Plant Tower Operator or Cement Control Room Operator while feeding the plant at the surge pile.
Consistently meter material to the appropriate feeders.
Complete a pre-shift inspection of heavy equipment.
Inspect work areas and participate in a STA at the start of each shift.
Follow company policies and MSHA regulations as trained, inspected, and communicated by management, supervisors, and leads.
Represent Titan’s values and show respect to fellow employees while performing duties.
Maintain equipment in a clean and safe manner.
Report safety and operational concerns.
Perform tasks as directed by the supervisor or lead person.
