About This Role Transport, operate, and maintain heavy equipment/vehicles and machines such as backhoes, walking excavators, and other related equipment and machines used in the construction, maintenance, and repair of stormwater conveyance systems and their appurtenances Perform maintenance on county enclosed and open stormwater conveyance systems and their appurtenances Restore road right-of-ways and properties relating to stormwater maintenance and repairs Operate specialized equipment, walking excavators, backhoes, excavators, arm mowers, and other related equipment required to maintain and repair stormwater conveyance systems and road right-of-way maintenance/construction Maintain equipment and vehicles as assigned Respond to customer complaints relating to stormwater systems, including pipeline, canal, ditch blockages, and erosion control. Issues on and around the road right of way, water quality concerns, and stormwater flow concerns May require physically entering aquatic sites when necessary Complete and submit work orders relating to all work performed Respond to emergency situations as required Work Hours: Monday - Thursday -OR- Tuesday - Friday 6:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. On-Call Required
