About The Position

Infinity Natural Resources is seeking a dedicated Pipeline Operator to join their Midstream team. This role is responsible for the daily operation, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of pipeline systems, with a primary focus on ensuring the safe, reliable, and compliant transportation of hydrocarbons. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who prioritizes safety and is committed to optimizing pipeline integrity and system performance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
  • 2-5 years of experience in oil and gas pipeline operations, midstream field environments, or pipeline maintenance.
  • Solid working knowledge of midstream pipeline systems, valves, regulators, and measurement equipment.
  • Ability to operate pipeline assets and execute pigging operations independently under normal conditions.
  • Deep understanding of pipeline safety practices and the ability to meet all PHMSA and DOT criteria for safety-sensitive duties.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass mandatory verification of DOT drug, alcohol, and safety records for the preceding two-year period.
  • Ability to recognize abnormal operating conditions, interpret pipeline pressure/flow data, and respond with the appropriate corrective actions to ensure system and right-of-way integrity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with field personnel, control room operators, landowners, and stakeholders, working well both independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of accuracy in managing operational documentation, pipeline inspection records, and regulatory-driven compliance logs.
  • Ability to perform medium physical work – including lifting up to 75 pounds – and the agility to climb, kneel, crouch, or reach for extended periods while working on field equipment.
  • Comfort working in rugged outdoor field environments and along pipeline rights-of-way, with exposure to varying weather extremes and remote industrial conditions.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, handle extended field shifts, and respond to emergency callouts or travel across the regional pipeline footprint as required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and control pipeline systems to ensure the efficient transport of oil and gas products.
  • Execute system start-ups, shutdowns, pressure changes, and flow adjustments.
  • Conduct field inspections of pipeline right-of-ways, facilities, and equipment to identify leaks or integrity concerns.
  • Manage vital maintenance activities, including pigging operations and equipment repairs.
  • Diagnose and resolve operational issues with pipeline equipment, valves, pumps, meters, and control systems.
  • Act quickly on alarms, abnormal operating conditions, and emergency situations to mitigate risks and minimize system downtime.
  • Maintain highly accurate operating logs, inspection records, and maintenance documentation to support regulatory compliance and reporting.
  • Identify recurring technical issues and recommend corrective actions to improve pipeline reliability and process efficiency.
