About The Position

Yard Loader Operators are skilled in running specialized equipment for the success of the aggregate extraction process. They are trained associates who report to a supervisor or foreman. Yard Loader Operators are associates that run one or more larger front-end loaders to load material onto off-highway trucks and highway trucks. May perform various grading, digging, cleaning, and lifting assignments. Performs preventative maintenance on assigned equipment. Yard Loader Operators need little supervision for accomplishing their essential functions. Load an average of 4k a day.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2-3+ years of safe equipment operation
  • Ability to recognize any potential issues with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Creative and innovative with strong relationship and team building
  • Excellent communicating in writing as well as verbally and Listens Effectively
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds.
  • Ability to wear a respirator.
  • Ability to safely operate and maintain heavy equipment, stationery and mobile equipment if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Operator of one or more larger front-end loaders.
  • Responsible for the safe operations of specialized equipment.
  • Ensuring equipment is maintained and used in accordance with company health and safety regulations.
  • Cleaning, lubricating, and performing regular safety checks on equipment.
  • Ensuring equipment is properly positioned before turning it on and off or loading and unloading it.
  • Performing other construction duties as needed.
  • Promptly reporting all faults to the Plant Manager or Foreman.
  • Ensuring sites are kept clean and safe.
  • Participate in meetings and training as directed.
