About The Position

This role involves excavating trenches for water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer systems, installing trench boxes, and operating equipment in compliance with safety policies. The Equipment Operator is responsible for ensuring proper excavation and compaction procedures, maintaining equipment through daily inspections, and demonstrating a working knowledge of underground utilities. The position also includes managing quality control and production, and training team members.

Responsibilities

Excavates trenches for water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer
Installs trench boxes as necessary
Operates equipment in compliance with Muller's safety policies and OSHA procedures
Ensure proper excavation & compaction procedures are performed
Ensures all equipment is maintained by performing daily equipment inspections & grease equipment at required intervals
Demonstrate a working knowledge of underground utilities
Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required to complete the job
Manage quality control and production
Train team members as needed in a hands-on manner
