About The Position

The City of Beloit has an employment opportunity in the Water Resources Division of the Department of Public Works and is currently accepting applications for the position of an Equipment Operator- Wastewater. This position is responsible for performing semi-skilled manual labor either as an individual or in a team for the maintenance of the sanitary and storm water collection systems. May assist with bio-solids recycling operations and operate land application equipment as needed. Position also assists in construction and maintenance of various sanitary sewer, wastewater treatment, storm water and public drinking water facilities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
• Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• A minimum of one (1) year of responsible work experience

Nice To Haves

• Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the “N” tank vehicle endorsement
• Experience in construction and maintenance of public works or utility systems

Responsibilities
