About The Position

The Equipment Operator (Small Forklift Operator) plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials within the facility located in Conroe, TX. This position is responsible for operating small forklifts to load, unload, and transport goods, contributing directly to the smooth flow of production and inventory management. The operator must maintain a high standard of safety and equipment care to prevent accidents and minimize downtime. Attention to detail and adherence to operational protocols are essential to support overall warehouse and manufacturing processes. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid forklift operator certification (or ability to obtain certification).
  • Proven experience as a forklift operator or in a similar warehouse role.
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment and warehouse safety procedures.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, cherry pickers) safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload goods from trucks or containers.
  • Transport materials to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks.
  • Stack and organize products and materials in a safe and orderly manner.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any malfunctions or safety issues.
  • Assist with inventory counts and documentation.
  • Follow company procedures, safety guidelines, and compliance standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse or work area.
  • Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned.
