About The Position
The Small Equipment Operator is a key position at Jensen Infrastructure. Working outdoors, our forklift driver moves products in and out of the shop and safely loads delivery trucks. You quickly become the product expert – knowing what things are, how they’re loaded and where they go in inventory. Reporting to our Yard Supervisor, you’ll collaborate with the yard, production, and office teams, and interact with truck drivers and vendors.
Requirements
- Enthusiastic and motivated in a fast-paced environment.
- Understand the controls and limitations of forklifts.
- Comfortable operating multiple size lifts.
- Comfortable moving large/awkward/heavy products.
- Excellent judgment with weight limitations.
- Do not take shortcuts.

Responsibilities
- Choosing and utilizing the proper forklift, based on weight, to load, unload, transport, and stack material in appropriate areas.
- Operating forklift in production areas in a safe manner, always abiding by the speed limits and safety policies.
- Moving finished products and supplies from departments to yard or to trucks for loading.
- Completing daily forklift inspections and keeping work areas organized and clean.
