About The Position

A Equipment Operator III is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of highly complex automated assembly machines. This individual will ensure the continued operation of assembly machines through interpretation of and appropriate response to machine faults and through frequent alignment of stations and fixtures. This individual will perform highly complex, repetitive tasks associated with machine operation and is expected to endure a high level of equipment attentiveness. The operator is also responsible for ensuring that medical devices are assembled with the highest quality possible.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years’ experience required
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Basic Microsoft (Outlook, Excel, Word) and computer experience preferred
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems
  • Knowledge of machine maintenance or repair
  • Superior critical thinking skills.
  • Able to investigate and analyze data to resolve problems
  • Must be able to perform visual inspections with and without the aid of magnification tools
  • Able to talk or hear.
  • Able to sit or stand for the duration of the shift
  • Able to repetitively move and lift objects of up to 20 lbs

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the continued operation of assembly machines through interpretation of and appropriate response to machine faults and through frequent alignment of stations and fixtures.
  • Perform highly complex, repetitive tasks associated with machine operation and maintain a high level of equipment attentiveness.
  • Ensure that medical devices are assembled with the highest quality possible.
  • Learn highly complex operations easily and quickly.
  • Perform major machine adjustments, changeovers, and setups without maintenance intervention (e.g, feeder bowl installation, fixture changes, etc.).
  • Make minor mechanical repairs as needed on equipment (e.g., changing continuity test head on CAM, changing pins on CLC).
  • Perform or assist preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in operating multiple highly complex machines.
