The Juneau International Airport is looking to fill one Equipment Operator II position! This is the advanced journey level of the Equipment Operator job class series requiring at least (2) years of equipment operation experience. Positions in this class excavate, install, maintain, repair and conduct snow removal/ice control for airport facilities, aircraft maneuvering areas and roadways while operating specialized types of motorized maintenance and snow removal equipment and attachments. The right fit for this position will have the following characteristics: Have a strong work ethic and desire to learn Polite and courteous to the public and with coworkers Are situationally aware and conscious of safety Motivated to perform high-quality work Available to work overtime during inclement weather Available for on-call responses to emergencies and other weather events Excellent written and verbal communication Consistent, timely, and conscientious. The incumbent performs a combination of job functions that vary between the summer and winter seasons. Employees work under general supervision, execute specific instructions and are completely responsible for the safe operation of heavy maintenance and snow removal equipment. Employees must apply appropriate guidelines, such as safe equipment operating procedures, and established airfield standards for operations, maintenance and security.
