About The Position
Operate equipment involved in the maintenance and construction of County roads and city projects. POSTING MAY CLOSE AT ANY TIME AFTER A SUFFICIENT NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS ARE RECEIVED
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- An additional four (4) years of related experience may substitute for a high school diploma
- Minimum of one (1) year related experience
- Current and valid Class C driver license is required upon hire
- Class A CDL with tanker endorsement is required within eight (8) months of hire
Nice To Haves
- Tarrant County may assist with getting the Class A CDL
Responsibilities
- Operates and/or drives truck or light equipment
- Performs road maintenance or construction related duties while operating equipment
- May transport equipment and supplies
- Controls traffic flow at work site
- Performs routine maintenance on equipment or trucks and reports needed repairs
- Performs all other related duties as assigned
