About The Position

Quail West is seeking a dependable Equipment Operator I to join its Golf Course Maintenance team. The role supports the daily care and maintenance of the club’s championship golf courses by safely operating turf maintenance equipment and completing routine course maintenance. The position contributes to attractive playing conditions and consistent course standards. It is a full-time hourly position paying $17.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Basic knowledge of equipment operation, care, and safety practices.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Professional, dependable, and safety-conscious work ethic.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including prolonged standing, walking, bending, and stooping.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to participate in training and follow established policies and procedures.
• Commitment to maintaining a drug-free workplace.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience operating golf course maintenance, landscaping, or similar equipment.
• Bilingual skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate walk-behind and riding mowers to maintain grass on and around the golf courses.
• Operate tractors to transport materials and assist with fertilization and general course maintenance.
• Operate loaders to move dirt, sand, and other landscaping supplies.
• Perform daily golf course maintenance tasks to maintain playing conditions and course appearance.
• Properly operate, clean, and care for golf course maintenance equipment.
• Follow daily work assignments and departmental procedures to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Participate in departmental training to maintain consistent golf course maintenance standards.
• Support and collaborate with team members to accomplish daily maintenance goals.
• Follow established safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
