About The Position

The Equipment Operator (Grinder Operator) plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process by ensuring that materials are processed efficiently and to the highest quality standards. This position involves operating grinding machinery to shape and finish products, which directly impacts the overall production output and quality. The operator will be responsible for monitoring equipment performance and making necessary adjustments to maintain optimal operation. Safety and adherence to operational protocols are paramount, as the role involves working with heavy machinery in a dynamic environment. Ultimately, the success of the production line relies heavily on the skills and diligence of the Grinder Operator. Performs various project work which requires safely operating vehicles and a variety of heavy/agricultural equipment that may include, but is not limited to; grinders, front-end loaders, skid steers, track-hoes, and bulldozers.

Requirements

  • Operate heavy/agricultural equipment safely
  • Verbal and Written Communication
  • Ability to follow directions.
  • Ability to perform basic math.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Clean MVR
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Valid Driver’s License

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification in machining or a related field.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on quality control.
  • Familiarity with CNC machinery and programming.
  • Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment operator work experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of grinder operator work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Always operate equipment in a safe manner
  • Perform loading, unloading, and timely delivery of material to assigned/approved destination.
  • Serve as a company ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public.
  • Conduct daily inspections and perform preventative maintenance on the equipment.
  • Perform shop clean-up, maintenance, and equipment/tools setup.
  • Maintain operation records.
