About The Position

This position requires over 42 months of experience as an Equipment Operator. The operator must be able to perform fundamental job duties at the journey level, which includes performing all duties associated with previous levels. Some duties may require the individual to be designated as a Competent/Qualified Person. Additional duties may be assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

• Over 42 months experience in craft
• Ability to perform fundamental job duties at journey level
• US Citizenship or Certification Required (Birth Certificate or certified copy of Birth Certificate issued by a U.S. State or by the U.S. Department of State (Form FS-240); U.S. Passport, issued by the U.S. Department of State; Certificate of U.S. Citizenship issued to a person born outside the United States who derived or acquired U.S. citizenship through a U.S. citizen parent (INS Form N-560 or N-561); or Certificate of Naturalization issued to a person who became a U.S. citizen after 18 years of age through the naturalization process (INS Form N-550 or N-570))

• Identify, use & care of common hand and power tools
• Identify components and controls of equipment
• Basic rigging
• Perform daily equipment service and maintenance
• Identify equipment types
• Apply craft related mathematics
• Identify rigging equipment
• Ability to respond to equipment emergency procedures
• Perform equipment maintenance inspections
