About The Position

This role is for an Equipment Operator at the Journey Level, requiring over 42 months of experience in the craft. The operator must be able to perform fundamental job duties at their current progression level as well as previous levels. Journey level operators must be able to perform all listed duties. Some duties may require designation as a Competent/Qualified Person. Additional duties may be assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

• Over 42 months experience in craft
• US Citizenship or Certification Required (Birth Certificate or certified copy of Birth Certificate issued by a U.S. State or by the U.S. Department of State (Form FS-240); U.S. Passport, issued by the U.S. Department of State; Certificate of U.S. Citizenship issued to a person born outside the United States who derived or acquired U.S. citizenship through a U.S. citizen parent (INS Form N-560 or N-561); or Certificate of Naturalization issued to a person who became a U.S. citizen after 18 years of age through the naturalization process (INS Form N-550 or N-570))

Responsibilities

• Follow all health, safety & environmental requirements
• Perform daily pre-startup equipment inspections
• Perform clean up duties
• Read and use equipment operator’s manual
• Perform material handling & storage duties
• Assist with equipment service and maintenance
• Identify, use & care of common hand and power tools
• Identify components and controls of equipment
• Basic rigging
• Perform daily equipment service and maintenance
• Identify equipment types
• Apply craft related mathematics
• Identify rigging equipment
• Ability to respond to equipment emergency procedures
• Perform equipment maintenance inspections
