About The Position

The Dozer Operator levels and scoops soil and controls the direction and angle of the equipment to move rocks and debris. This position will work with straight or articulated rubber-tired tractor type vehicle equipped with front mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt. The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects and uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multilimbed coordination. The employee must have excellent stamina.

Requirements

  • Must adhere to OSHA safety protocol, and work in a drug-free environment
  • Must be reliable/have reliable transportation
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Construction industry experience preferred
  • Takes full ownership of assigned projects and can work independently
  • Familiarity with excavations and heavy lifting.
  • Experience in stockpiling.

  • Ensure dozer is in proper gear and is not moving to fast for working conditions.
  • Observe hand signals, grade stakes or other markings when operating machines so that work can be performed to specifications.
  • Understand and comply with all Company Safety policies and procedures as well as OSHA Regulations.
  • Assists with loading and unloading trucks & deliveries.
  • Observe hand signals, grade stakes, or other markings when operating equipment so that work can be performed in a safe and quality manner.
