About The Position

Merritt Contracting is seeking an experienced Concrete Equipment Operator to join its Concrete Division. The role suits a versatile operator experienced with excavators and dozers, grading stone, and supporting concrete construction operations. Operators may use equipment ranging from mini excavators to Caterpillar 315-class machines or equivalent, generally performing excavations 5 feet deep or less, and dozers to spread, level, and grade stone for concrete projects. Dozers use robotic UTS (Universal Total Station) grade-control technology; prior experience is a plus, and training may be provided. This is a hands-on position requiring the operator to leave the equipment and assist the crew when needed. The operator works with foremen and crew members to support safe and efficient jobsites, follows company safety policies and applicable OSHA requirements, conducts daily equipment inspections, and reports maintenance needs. Equipment and materials may be transported as assigned when the employee is appropriately licensed and qualified.
