About The Position

The Dozer Operator levels and scoops soil and controls the direction and angle of the equipment to move rocks and debris. This position will work with straight or articulated rubber-tired tractor type vehicle equipped with front mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop.

Requirements

Must adhere to OSHA safety protocol, and work in a drug-free environment
Must be reliable/have reliable transportation
Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

Construction industry experience preferred
Takes full ownership of assigned projects and can work independently

Responsibilities

Levels and scoops soil and controls the direction and angle of the equipment to move rocks and debris.
Works with straight or articulated rubber-tired tractor type vehicle equipped with front mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop.
Watches gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
Operates the dozer and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
Ensures dozer is in proper gear and is not moving too fast for working conditions.
Observes hand signals, grade stakes or other markings when operating machines so that work can be performed to specifications.
Understands and complies with all Company Safety policies and procedures as well as OSHA Regulations.
Assists with loading and unloading trucks & deliveries.
Observes hand signals, grade stakes, or other markings when operating equipment so that work can be performed in a safe and quality manner.
Familiarity with excavations and heavy lifting.
Experience in stockpiling.
