Requirements

• One year of experience as an Equipment Operator A; or Two years of experience in the operation of heavy construction and specialized maintenance equipment used at this level with a gross vehicle weight of 32,001 pounds or more; or Any equivalent combination of experience or training.
• Possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license.
• Possession of a Class A commercial driver's license (CDL).
• Ability to perform essential job functions.
• Must pass a drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, and trucks to complete construction tasks
• Drive tractor trailers to move equipment while ensuring secure loads and compliance with legal limits
• Perform inspections and routine maintenance including lubrication, adjustments, and minor repairs
• Carry out tasks such as pipe installation, concrete work, erosion control, site cleanup, and similar duties
• Interpret project blueprints and schematics to support accurate construction work
