About The Position

The Equipment Mechanic reports to the Equipment Manager and assists in overseeing a comprehensive preventive maintenance program. This includes repairing failing equipment, maintaining records of parts and labor, and ordering necessary supplies. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • One to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of light and heavy maintenance equipment and automotive apparatus.
  • Skill in the use of a wide variety of equipment repair tools, and the making of various types of mechanical repair.
  • Knowledge of the theory, care, and operation of internal combustion engines.
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical troubles and determine appropriate maintenance work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and keep business records.
  • Requires a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must be able to maintain a professional status through interface with customers.
  • Must be able to maintain a professional working relationship with management and co-workers.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Repair failing equipment.

  • Place orders for parts and supplies.
  • Properly communicate any needs or problems relating to equipment maintenance or repair to the Equipment Manager or Director of Agronomy.
