About The Position

The Equipment Mechanic reports to the Equipment Manager and assists in overseeing a comprehensive preventive maintenance program. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
One to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working knowledge of light and heavy maintenance equipment and automotive apparatus.
Skill in the use of a wide variety of equipment repair tools, and the making of various types of mechanical repair.
Knowledge of the theory, care, and operation of internal combustion engines.
Ability to diagnose mechanical troubles and determine appropriate maintenance work.
Ability to communicate effectively and keep business records.
Requires a valid driver's license.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Must be able to maintain a professional status through interface with customers.
Must be able to maintain a professional working relationship with management and co-workers.
Must be able to work flexible schedules.
Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.

Responsibilities

Oversee a comprehensive preventive maintenance program.
Repair failing equipment.
Keep records of parts and labor needed for equipment maintenance.
Place orders for parts and supplies.
