About The Position

This position is responsible for the maintenance of the turf equipment for Troon Golf Courses in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. The Equipment Manager is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall management of all equipment used in golf course operations. This role includes conducting regular inspections, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring all machinery is safe and efficient for daily use. The Equipment Manager will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent to coordinate equipment needs while meeting the expectations set by the Golf Course Superintendent. Strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, cleanliness, and knowledge of turf management practices are essential for success in this position.

• Prior golf course experience is a plus
• Knowledge of reel grinding is a plus

Responsibilities

• Performs troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of equipment, including mowing equipment, tractors, power tools, hand tools, golf carts, and related golf equipment
• Maintains a preventative maintenance program for all equipment; purchases repair parts and replacement supplies
• Places orders for parts and supplies as needed; tracks expenses and inventory for budget purposes
• Trains all employees in the proper operation and maintenance of machinery and vehicles
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent
